The horticulture booth at the Stanislaus County Fair invited the Camellia Society of Modesto to demonstrate culture and care of camellias at this year's fair! Marvin was happy to accept this invitation, and on Monday, July 11 he gave an interesting presentation to the people walking through the flower building.

He talked about the history of camellias in the U.S., different species of the plant, and various technics to develop beautiful blooms. Three plants were given to some of the listeners that night as door prizes. There were also several listeners who expressed interest in learning more about our club, so we hope to see them at a meeting, very soon!
