One of the best parts of being a member of our camellia club is traveling around northern California to judge at some of the other societies' shows. In this blog- you'll get tours of 3 different California camellia shows. We hope to have you with us next season!
The Sacramento show on March 7 and 8 was held again this year in the Memorial Auditorium, which is a historical landmark well known in the city. Built in 1926 and having opened in 1927, this building is full of character and is a beautiful venue for the Sacramento show. Because March was so unseasonally warm this year, (and camellias are cold weather flowers), we were all concerned that there would not be enough blooms to have a good representation, but to our great surprise and pleasure, there were many lovely camellias to judge. Much hard work by the members in Sacramento went into making their show successful.

Held March 8, 2015 in the beautiful atrium of One Church Bethel (where we have our meetings!), we were thrilled to have around 25 people from different camellia clubs come! Chairman of Judges Sharon Adams gave an overview of the judging process, so upcoming judges who were new to the process would have a better understanding of everything that was involved.
